What Makes It Awesome

Arth, is brought to us from the makers of Bastian and One Street Over, and is a contemporary restaurant with a luxe vibe. Ready to indulge, Mumbai?

With Arth, Khar serves up so much delicious food, an innovative menu and good cocktails. This Indian restaurant has very interesting dishes that are dug up from various Indian cuisines anchored by Executive Chef Amninder Sandhu.

Arth is a multi-level restaurant with a unique concept- to go back to the earth, literally (we're not kidding!). Boasting of a completely gas-free open kitchen, they employ traditional methods such as cooking on a chulha (hearth). Each dish is prepared on either charcoal or wood, and the ingredients are sourced from different areas of the country – Majuli, Shillong, Alleppey, Rishikesh, Kashmir.

The dishes are experimental such as Kovalam Taco, coconut, cumin, coriander with an uttapam shell. The mains include dishes like the popular Bihari Litti Chokha, Hay-smoked Jungli Murgi. There are complete meals for sharing as well, if you like to share (we don't) with your group of 5-6.

For cocktails, get The Royal Indian Julep (made using Darjeeling Tea), and The Sisterhood (homemade mezcal, star anise honey, allspice and lime).

What to try: Essence of Arth Tasting Menu (INR 695/INR 795), Nimona Seekh, Morels Stuffed, Chicken Makhmali, The Final Table Paneer Kofta

Cost for 2: Approx INR 3000 for two including drinks

Pro-Tip

What else can we tell you? That the restaurant is located in Khar (where Sancho’s once was), that the interiors are done by Gauri Khan (think fancy), and that it’s a great option for fine dining in the city.

Excited? We definitely are.
