Coming soon, from the makers of Bastian and One Street Over is a new Indian restaurant named Arth. Mumbai, are you ready?

What's The Meaning Of This?

This means more delicious food, an innovative menu and good cocktails, as comes with the territory. This Indian restaurant and bar will have interesting dishes dug up from different Indian cuisines as anchored by Executive Chef Amninder Sandhu.

This is going to be a multi-level restaurant with a unique concept – to go back to the earth, quite literally. A completely gas-free open kitchen, they will employ traditional methods such as cooking on a chulha {hearth}. Each dish will be prepared on either charcoal or wood, and the ingredients will be sourced from different areas of the country – Majuli, Shillong, Alleppey, Rishikesh, Kashmir.

The dishes will be experimental such as chargilled, kalimpong cheese, soft-shell crab with ginger, red chilli and curry leaf. The mains will include dishes like the popular Bihari Litti Chokha, Avial {made of sweet potato, raw mango, yam, and palak dosa}. There will be thaals for sharing as well for groups of four.

For cocktails, get vodka masala chai {called the Chill Your Chai}, Marigold Lady {a marigold flower-infused gin}.

So, We're Saying...

What else can we tell you? That the restaurant is located in Bandra {where Sancho’s once was}, that the interiors are being done by Gauri Khan {think fancy }, and that it’s opening doors on June 21.

Excited? We definitely are.
