Bastian, the uber famous restaurant chain owned by actor Shilpa Shetty has always been a magnet for foodies, leisure-seekers and celebrities. The one in Worli got shifted to a new place in Dadar last year, but didn't take long to regain its status as the hottest place to be in Mumbai (especially on a Saturday night).

Spread over 10,000-square-foot on a rooftop space, the views and Cappadocia-inspired cave-like interiors are enough to lure anyone to visit it. With massive levitating chandeliers, a giant statue of a laughing Buddha carved into a wall and several decor accents in Aztec prints — the place leaves you awestruck with every attention to detail. We love that the rustic beige, taupe and ecru colour scheme we associate with the brand that was retained giving you something to reminisce.

The restaurant has three different spaces depending on which vibe you are going for — the main area where the DJ has every guest grooving to the trendiest tunes, the fine dining area which is great for hanging out for drinks or grabbing a bite, and the spotlight area at the end which is called 'The Forest’. It features a 39-foot-long plunge pool, a separate bar, a DJ console and lush foliage — meant for hosting private soirées or dinners. Celebrities partying around you is a common sighting here so you can expect this area to be packed.

Coming to the most important part — the food — you can be assured that you won't be disappointed. The restaurant has retained its menu from the older place and offers the same delicious, non-fussy food we love Bastian for. However, the desserts are still the star of the show for us. The cocktail menu has been updated with some really nice well-rounded picks. From classic favourites to signature concoctions, each sip is delightful to say to the least.

We'd say to Bastian At The Top for the delicious food and stay for the vibes, and air exclusivity. We would also suggest making a reservation well in advance for weekends since the place is jam packed and walk-ins are a no-game. They do charge a certain amount for dinner reservations per person, which has to be paid in advance and is adjusted against your final bill. The place is a bit expensive but totally worth the experience if good food, good mood is your Saturday night mantra.
