Of late there has been an eruption of unique retail store concepts where one experiences food along with grocery shopping. In my personal opinion, I LOVE gourmet grocery stores, and Van Earth brings that exact same concept to us. It's not just a store, but a luxury gourmet experience with the entire heritage and its food which thrives to bring back a variety of home-cooked food under one roof while at the same time keeping taste, hygiene, cleanliness, and pricing in mind.
When I visited, I was attended by Ms Soniya who's the Captain of the place and manages the floor with finesse.
We started off with Hot Chocolate (Rating 4/5), a classic version which was indeed the best way to start our meal; it wasn't too thick, and the chocolate content was good. Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake (Rating 5/5) was too appealing to look at, but it was full of flavours.
Next, we tried Chole with Bread Kulcha (Rating 5/5), and it was YUM. As you take the first bite, the rich flavours will please your palate. The chickpeas were cooked to perfection, and the bread was so soft that it will melt in your mouth.
The Lebanese Delight (Rating 5/5) was something I saw on the menu, and I had to order it. This dish had pita bread, falafel, babaganoush, tzatziki, and hummus, and the presentation was excellent. Babaganoush, a Syrian dish, was perfectly mashed eggplant with olive oil and tahini, whereas Tzatziki had that acidity element with the right balance of lemon juice and yoghurt, and of course, the star was their hummus which had the right consistency, olives around it, and tahini.
Burrito Bowl (Rating 5/5) is something that I rarely order, but I loved the beautiful amalgamation of guacamole, charred corn, Mexican rice, beans, and sour cream along with veggies. Oh, and the portion size of the bowl was good enough for two people.
For desserts, we had their in-house ice creams i.e. sitafal and paan (Rating 5/5) and chocolate tiramisu cake (Rating 5/5). I loved both the sweet treats.
PS - Don't forget to check out their collection of honey and teas .๐
