Mumbai is a highly saturated space when it comes to restaurants and dining out. Nearly every global cuisine is well represented, and no matter how modest or extravagant your budget is, there’s always a meal worth every penny.

That being said, the abundance of choices can make the decision overwhelming. So, we've taken it upon ourselves to help you out when you're craving a good meal and want to rely on the greats to make it memorable.

Save this list for special occasions—these restaurants represent the best of what Mumbai has to offer, and you can’t go wrong with them. As a part of LBB's 2024 Mega List campaign, here are the top 50 restaurants in Mumbai for 2024 that you need to check out.

O Pedro, BKC

This is the second entrant on this list from Hunger Inc., and this one, too, is helmed by Chef Hussain Shahzad. Their drinks are lovely, and it’s a great place to spend a Friday evening after work if your office is close by. If not, head here for a foolproof, elevated Goan dinner when you can’t take leave for a trip!

Must Try: BKC's mainstay is famous for its Sea Bass Ceviche, Poee, Bebinca, Shrimp Wafers, Sweet Potato Dan-Gar, and Green Watana Rassa.

SpiceKlub, Lower Parel

Vibrant, modern, and still warm and familiar, SpiceKlub is another iconic spot that’s bringing creativity to the Indian food scene in Mumbai. This restaurant is uniquely fully vegetarian, so if you’re with a group that’s particular about these things, this is the place for you! The menu features street eats and comfort foods presented with a twist—often incorporating some fun molecular gastronomy. SpiceKlub has, ahem, “inspired” several restaurants around the world with its fare.

Must Try: You’ve got to try the Vegetable and Beetroot Spheres, the Masala Minestrone Soup, the popular Pav Bhaji Fondue and the test-tube Pani Puri!

Helmed by the late Chef Floyd Cardoz and now by Chef Hussain Shahzad, this spot has loyalists who visit every time the menu is updated and with each passing season.

Masque, Mahalaxmi

Among the first in India to offer an elaborate 10-course Chef’s Tasting Menu, Masque is an incredibly fancy restaurant that serves stunning modern Indian cuisine with a slightly more technical approach. Masque focuses on using local ingredients while also revisiting traditional cooking practices. It’s expensive, but it’s truly considered “an experience.” Save up and head here for an anniversary or a 50th birthday celebration.

We’re starting strong with the legendary chef Jiggs Kalra’s legacy. Having been chosen to cook for visiting dignitaries from all over the world, the chef’s establishments are always destined to make it to these lists—and with good reason! Masala Library was one of the first places to reinvent Indian cuisine and remains a pioneer in showcasing what Modern Indian food looks like. It’s quite bougie, making it perfect for celebrations! After your hearty meal, wash it all down with a Curry Leaf Martini.

The experience is designed to be highly visual, engaging, and sophisticated. This is the place to take your parents for a big anniversary or your partner when you get a raise!
