Ten-Second Takeaway

A new ice-cream truck, Scoopalicious, is going to be making the rounds of Bandra from Friday, September 9 onward.

Give Us The Scoop

This is a dessert truck by one of the most popular food trucks in the city, Bombay Food Truck Company. They are exclusively selling 100 per cent organic ice-creams with flavours like ginger cinammon {which they claim is the absolute best} , boondi, gulab jamun, jackfruit, raw mango, coconut, double chocolate, gulkand, among a few others. We are loving the sound of chili mango. The said chili used is being brought in from Manipur, and all their ice-creams will be made using the natural pulp of ingredients. This will be served in either a cup, or cone {soft cone, waffle or chocolate waffle, slurp}.

Soon, in about two months’ time, we can slurp on liquor-based ice creams such as Old Monk, bourbon whiskey, Jack Daniels, and even a vodka based flavour.

If you are vegan and like your ice-cream, but so far have only been able to wistfully gaze at it from a distance, there are soon going to be all-vegan ice-cream options at this pink food truck.

Anything Else?

With all these festivities around us, how could this enthusiastic food truck not join in? Scoopalicious has taken special permission and is going to be present at a few ganpati processions in the city, such as the Kaleena in Santacruz East on September 15. They might also be present at either the Dadar or Parel one, but details are yet to be confirmed.
