If you're an early riser and like watching birds, we've found the perfect spot for you. While it might just look like a pumping station and a bus stand by the creek to you, it's actually a bird watcher's paradise early in the mornings. Bhandup pumping station is one spot where you get to sit silently in the mornings and get to see some really pretty birds fly by, ones that you'd probably expect to see in a sanctuary. You'll get to see herons, bulbuls, cormorants and many others, showing off their skills and dulcet tones.
The price for this fun experience is INR 650, and the meeting point is Bhandup Pumping station at 7 AM on February 16 and February 23. The cost includes packed breakfast, a guide, professional expertise and first aid. The cost doesn't include transport till Bhandup pumping station and back.
Your reporting time is 7 AM, you have an introduction session at 7:30 followed by breakfast, you start the salt pans walk and bird watching at 8 AM, reach the end point and be a part of an activity by noon, head to Bhandup station by 12:30PM and move on home.
