The word ‘Biryani’ lights up our world, doesn’t it? So, imagine when we stumbled upon Biryani By Kilo, that delivers freshly cooked dum-biryanis in a handi, right at our doorstep. Needless to say, we were over enthusiastic, and have to share everything we know with you. Thank us later.
While digging deeper into the menu, we realised that Biryani By Kilo offers a plethora of variants that will spoil you with choices. There are a myriad of flavours with the Khansama style of cooking; as their new menu stems from Malabar and Ambur regions in Kerala & Tamil Nadu.
We can now gorge on a Malabar biryani in chicken and prawn flavours (a variation found in the Indian state of Kerala) or the Ambur biryani, a Vellore specialty (chicken and veg) which is prepared by using red chilli paste along with whole spices.
Vegetarians, ahoy! There are innumerable options for you guys too. One can enjoy Paneer Hyderabadi Biryani, Paneer Nawabi, Peshawari Chole Biryani, Paneer 65, Mushroom Pepper Fry and Burani Raita, all of which are under the Nizami influence & utterly delicious. If this wasn’t enough, they have the toothsome chicken and mutton biryani as well as the evergreen Lucknowi chicken biryani on their list too.
Coming to the non-biryani lovers (well, yeah), they’ve got dishes like Chicken Ghee Roast (all the way from Mangalore), Dal Nizami (oozes of royalty, doesn’t it?), and Masoor Dal and Curry Leaf Raita (that goes amazingly well with Ambur & Malabar biryanis). Amidst all this, how can the ‘meetha’ be left behind? Biryani By Kilo offers ‘Double ka Meetha’- a hot, crispy-fried bread pudding soaked in cardamom and saffron flavoured syrup topped with Rabdi and dry fruits. Aren’t we already in heaven?
