What you must look out for at Citi- NCPA’s festival is a soulful combination of tabla and bamboo flute – performed by the inimitable maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain with Rakesh Chaurasia, who has trained with the legendary flautist, Hariprasad Chaurasia. The performance will showcase the versatility of tabla, performed by Ustad Zakir Hussain who has won hearts internationally with his solo, as well as musical events featuring collborations. Subramaniam, an internationally renowned violinist, and composer. His contribution to the field of Indo-Jazz fusion is unparalleled. This act will see his son and disciple, Ambi Subramaniam, and a harmonica maestro, Corky Siegel, who is a composer, blues pianist, singer, and songwriter weaving magic on stage. Siegel’s performances as soloist with orchestras and ballets worldwide have already given us a glimpse of his musicianship. In the final act, the father-son will engage in a musical crossover with Corky Siegel.
