August marks the last month for Blue Frog’s first home in Mathuradas Mill Compound, and we’ve marked our calendars with all the gigs worth attending.

The month of August is being marked with a celebration called ‘The Last Set’, a name so nostalgic and bitter-sweet we’re already tearing up.
The end of the month will also be marked by a three-day festival of indie musicians collaborating with commercial artists, proving the point that there’s no musical connection that Blue Frog can’t forge. Besides this, we can also witness the video launch of fusion act Paradigm Shift’s new single. Nikhil Chinapa and Pearl will be holding an EDM performance, Rajeev Raja, one of the first performers ever to take the stage at ‘The Frog’ will be back, and the new album for Kabir Cafe will be launched. Also, on August 24, we are definitely swinging by for the metal night featuring Bhayanak Maut, Noiseware, Dirge and Last Ride Home.
Other than these performances, we are heading for one last brunch at the venue – we can’t overstate what fans we are of their long and lazy brunches on Sundays which stretch on till 5pm.

Definitely mark your calendars accordingly. While Blue Frog will be back with a new venue and a new avatar down the road, its venue in Lower Parel has been iconic in the city’s music scene, fostering and witnessing some of the city’s most exciting talent and performances.
