Ever wondered what it would feel like to be on the set of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes? Well, with this new pub in town, you can be sure to imagine scenes from olde London, just like in the movie. Conceptualised by Gobind Chona, this alluring sea-facing pub is a tribute to London and all things British.
The executive chef, Dev Rawat, let us in on a few secrets when it came to the menu – it’s a good mix of the English classics with some European and Asian flavours to give it that unique signature style and plating.
With favourites like fish and chips, roast chicken, shepherd’s pie and other aromatic delicacies like burnt Cambridge cream, baked brie, crispy pork belly or even the grilled tenderloin on the menu – we’ve sure had a hard time not salivating on our keyboards {sorry for the image, but it’s the truth}. You are also sure to find some tandoor-cooked food items on the menu, thanks to its Asian connection.
Sip On
The cocktail menu is pretty impressive, with something for everybody. There’s a drink called ‘The Devil Says Hi’, that’s a truffle-infused vodka with a homemade coffee concoction, walnut bitter, a touch of white wine topped with cardamom dust. Another one called the ‘Morning Glory’ is a copper-blazed bourbon with homemade blueberry and vanilla bitters. Their HLTs {three batches} have you warned about them containing a lot of alcohol {well, that doesn’t stop us!}, where batch one consists rum, gin, vodka, tequila mixed with green tea and flavoured with dried sunflowers, banana, mango, melon, guava and passion fruit flower leaves. Okay seriously, what are you waiting for?
So, We’re Saying
