A brand new class in Mumbai is giving your regular workout an edge. Called the Bungfly, it is a form of indoor bungee jumping that’s excellent to get fit with. Check it out.

Arts In Motion Studios in Khar and Sion is just starting out with hosting a new workout Bungfly, which is a cross between bungee jumping and a workout.

The classes will be conducted by trainers of Dhurii, a centre in Bangalore. How it works is that one is harnessed to ropes which are suspended from hooks on the 12-13 feet high ceiling in the Arts in Motion studios. This is a resistant straining, not dissimilar to the terra band concept or the TRX concept of workout. As you resist the upward pull of the rope, you stretch and work on your muscle through resistance.

A few exercises done when attached to the harness are jumps, lunges, leaps, stretches and more, all done to fun music of course {a necessary to distract yourself from the pain}.

This is great workout for conditioning, cardio, strength training but also it is insanely fun, can you imagine? The price for one session is INR 750 per head, and each class can accommodate about 5 people. There will be classes held from Dec 19-22, and you can contact for small group bookings as well for friends who like to work out together.
