Ladies and gentlemen: straighten up that collar and put on your fancy pants because Mumbai’s first malt room, Burn has arrived in BKC.

Burning Up The Floor

Burn – Kitchen & Malt Room is here in BKC, and it’s a one-of-a-kind resto-bar serving single malt whisky from different countries around the world. That’s over 35 types of malts including Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, {and more varieties on the menu}.

Wondering what the food is like? Serving up a continental and Asian menu, you’ll find delicious starters such as breaded sweet potatoes with sour cream {really good stuff}, oriental-style stuffed mushrooms with pesto inside which we definitely recommend to all vegetarians. Their citrus and garlic marinated prawns were quite the catch too. There’s plenty more such as cheese cigars, corn on the cob, watermelon & feta salad, pizza {thin-crust and delicious, like we like it}, different varieties of pasta and sizzling paneer tikka on the menu. To be honest, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to what to eat and drink at this place.

There’s also a big brunch menu with most items for INR 149 only – fried eggs, bhurji, french toast, uttapam, etc.

And The Place?

The space itself is exactly how you’d expect a malt room to be – woody {almost musky} and opulent. There are large leather couches and a few high top-stools that we almost feel off of. The bar is big and buzzing, and the area is huge, with plenty of room to walk about without disturbing other tables.
Since it is a malt room, they soon plan to have over 70 types of single malts and a cigar room.

So, We're Saying...

That’ll be a glass of with two cubes of ice and single malt, please. And make it a stiff one.
