…Cafe Meter Down begins. Café Meter Down is an auto-rickshaw themed restaurant in Borivali, and we are hopping on.
Started by two college-going students, the place has been ideated and come into being with a minimal budget and a whole lot of creativity.
The decor is super cute, with the outdoor seating being real auto-rickshaws {which have been painted} as seating, and the walls have been hand-painted by the owners themselves.
The food is mostly comfort food: burgers, rolls, steamed momos, pizza and even sizzlers. We tried the shakes here, and oh my god, it was one of the best nutella shakes we’ve ever tried. The food is reasonably priced as well, with a pasta dish for INR 130, fries for INR 90 and sizzlers for INR 220.
They are so dedicated to the theme that even their {tandoori, mint mayo, peri peri and more} are served in mini rickshaws which are cutely parked on your table.
Now here’s an exciting bit, they have a section in the basement which is more like a home lounge with quirky posters, sofas and over here, they plan to start stand-up comedy nights, have a library, keep a PS4 and more.
