What Makes It Awesome?

A professor at Dr. Ambedkar College of Economics and Commerce is mobilizing donations to help set up a free or a low-cost library in the tiny village of Patur, in the Akola District of Maharashtra.

D.A Gawai is looking for donations in kind {books that are new, or second-hand} and cash.

The library will be set up in Patur, a village that Gawai himself hails from. A believer of education that just doesn't come from sitting in a classroom, the aim is that the library will give the villagers an access to a huge repository of knowledge.

We all know how enriching, and nourishing it is to read books. He wants to extend the same platform to the people of his village, with a tiny population of 400-500 houses.

Anything Else?

You can donate any book that you have lying at home, or buy new ones to help set up the library. The books can be of any genre for the ages 13-35, and children books are welcome too.

If you've got fiction, non-fiction, activity books, crime thrillers or anything, feel free to drop it off, or courier it directly to the village. You can also get in touch with Gawai, and express your wish to donate in cash.
