Now, Get McDonald's, Domino's, KFC & More Delivered Right To Your Train Seat

A bit of happy news for all the fussy eaters out there – you can now get food from chains like Domino’s, McDonald’s, and even KFC when travelling on inter-city trains.

As first reported by Hindustan Times here, the Indian Railways has now partnered with popular food chains like Alibaba, Haldirams, Domino’s, KFC, Neelam, Delhi Darbar, Chaayos, McD and more for an e-catering service.

As a service only available on Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains {as of now}, you can now choose not to eat the standard meal offered on trains, and opt for a double cheese pizza or chicken nuggets while traveling to Delhi and/or other cities of your choice.

How, you ask, is this feat accomplished? There’s a rather easy-to-use website by the IRCTC where you can search whether your train has an option for this service. If it does {and there a few from Mumbai that do}, then you select your food items, enter your PNR number and place your order.

This e-catering service is available at over 350 stations in India, and in Mumbai, is presently available at the stations Mumbai CST, Mumbai Central and Thane too.
