Cane You Believe It? This 45-Year-Old Store Has Furniture Starting At INR 300
Sion has a lot of knick-knack stores that cater to all sorts of needs. But, if you’re into cane furniture or decorating your home on a budget, there’s a great shop that can help.
Right under the King’s Circle bridge, there’s this dilapidated looking store from the outside, that reads ‘Fine Art Cane Furniture’. What intrigued us were the lovely cane baskets and lamps that were on display, along with a rocking chair that looked delightfully comfortable.
What Makes It Awesome
About 45 years old, the shop has a workshop right at the back, where they manufacture their own items with their cane imported from Karnataka. It’s been a family business, with the grandson who has now taken control and creates gorgeous cane products that appeal to so many of us.
Specialising in mostly home décor and furniture, all that you’d want at home is available here, from rocking chairs to tables, wooden loungers with cane backing, sofa sets, dining tables, gift baskets, cane swings, and so much more.
The cane lamps start as low as INR 300, while a swing can cost you INR 3,500 upwards, depending on the intricacy of the design. You can also set up your entire living room in INR 18,000. Trust us, that’s a steal!
Besides this, they also sell walking sticks and all sorts of gift items you could possibly think of. Shoe racks are also made here, with the price ranging from INR 800 upwards.
Apart from selling new furniture, they also refurbish old furniture. While we realise that it’s not the easiest place to stop or park your car, we’d still recommend it for the sheer variety of products on sale and on display.
