We might have found a beautiful, secret spot that’s luxurious, intimate, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature and just an hour away from the city. This #HiddenGem (and we don’t say this lightly) is tucked away in a corner of Dahisar village. Surrounded by over 150 varieties of flora and fauna, this very chic stay also offers a farm-to-table dining experience, a lovely pool on the property and, get this, it’s fully pet-friendly as well.
Let’s talk about the interiors. There’s a huge focus on indoor-outdoor living, and the estate is expansive, while still feeling really cozy. There’s nothing cold, impersonal and hotel-like about this place. There’s a pared-back use of colour, with the space being bathed in ultra soothing muted tones, but there’s a certain generosity in the use of natural materials like rattan, cane, wood and jute. There’s ample greenery even indoors. The pool area is a wonderful spot to watch the sunset while you unwind, and it’s also a few metres away from a fun al-fresco dining spot that’s amazing for celebrating a special occasion! A sundowner that ends in the pool, perhaps?
The villa has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two powder rooms, spread across 4,000 square feet. It’s plush, and it’s a space where you can spoil yourself after a grimy trek at the nearby forts aka Tandulwadi and Kohoj. Alternatively, you’ll also be close to Kelwe beach, well-known for its fresh seafood stalls.
The chefs on the property use locally sourced fresh ingredients to conjure delicacies that are truly nourishing, and many are sourced from the Barad family’s garden that’s on the property. And it’s no puny space, either—they’ve developed the land for over 15 years! Wonderful, isn’t it?
We say make those staycation plans stat!
