Dance, Drink & Eat: Everything You Need To Know About Partying At The Dome

Boasting of one of the best nightlife’s in India, Mumbai has great late-night bars and clubs for people looking for a good night out in the town. We begin with Dome, a gorgeous bar overlooking the Arabian sea.

Step One: Usher Yourself In

Dome is a gorgeous bar-cum-lounge that turns into a pretty club by the end of the night. Overlooking the queen’s necklace at Marine Drive, this rooftop bar has a Pantheon-style Dome often found in Rome.

They are quite particular about entry {so we’ve been told} so do make sure to get your glam self out. We’re thinking buttoned up shirts, dresses, trousers and closed shoes for the men {this is super important}.

Post 11pm, they generally have a stag entry for men at about INR 2,000 a pop. Though, again, it’s up to the discretion of the staff and the members to let the stags in.

Step Two: Where’s My Food At?

We say stick to the finger food while sipping on your drink. However, they do have a whole variety of both, appetizers and mains for you to choose from, in case you want to go all in. Keep in mind the dishes here are quite expensive {especially after the taxes}. We do recommend you try their brownie board which comes laden with two brownies and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

Plonk yourselves next to the calm pool as it makes for a great sunset point. Also good for? A cosy date spot!

Step Three: Get Your Drinks On

We say stick to the class Gin and tonic, or if you’re in the mood to splurge, head to the bar and get a cocktail coming your way. We recommend Dome Sundowner, and the 007 Martini.

They generally have good deals on their beer bucket so just ask the staff serving you. The last order for drinks is generally at 12.30pm to 12.45pm so make sure to get your orders in by then.

#LBBTip: If you’re looking to sit outside, it’s mandatory to order the hookah.

And Then Some Dancing…

Lastly, we love Dome for its dance nights. Since it is a based out of the Inter-Continental hotel, you can expect a crowd almost every night here. The indoor as well as the outdoor section literally ‘gets lit’ once the DJ is in the house.

The music is a mix between the deep house and club music. Looking for your popular Kygo, Calvin Harris song? You’ll get em all. Just let your hair down and don’t spill those cocktails. Once you’re done and the lights are switched back on, just make your way to Bademiya for their hot kebabs {in case you’re still hungry by 2am}.

An experience at the Dome will set you back by at least INR 3,500 {inclusive of drinks}.

There’s a whiskey lounge at the roof top with a corner seat. It has the best seat in the house as it gives you a panoramic view of the Queen’s necklace.
