What Makes It Awesome?

While this pandemic has brought out the Sanjeev Kapoor inside us, sometimes we do crave for that yummilicious restaurant food as well. And being a Bengali, I craved for Biryani so much that it hurt. We ordered from Peetuk craving for authentic Kolkata Biryani and chicken and trust me we were not disappointed.

What I ordered:

1) Chicken Biryani:
When you're a Bengali from Kolkata, once you have had Arsalan biryani then you won't like any other biryani. We call it Kolkata biryani. But here in Mumbai I got that Kolkata Biryani. That is from Peetuk. And the first bite gave me proper nostalgia rush and sheer happiness. The rice had the perfect blend of flavours and the chicken was perfectly cooked which is very rare to see nowadays in biryanis. Plus the fried aloo and egg with the biryani is like candy to a child.

2) Chicken Kosha:
A tasty blend of Bengali spices and juiciest of chicken pieces in the red kosha gravy is what we Bengalis crave for. It was so good that I started missing home. You'll get the gist.

3) Dum aloo and pulao combo:
Perfectly cooked aloo dum. We like it sweet and spicy with flavours of garam masala and that's how it was. The pulao was a little too sweet for a non-Bengalis liking but except that the flavours were perfect and ample amount of dry fruits were present in the rice. The combo of aloo's gravy and pulao was sheer heaven.

Peetuk is every probashi bangali's safe go-to place. You crave for Bengali food staying miles away from Bengal and without a doubt, Peetuk comes in mind.
