A new spot for vegetarians to enjoy great food coming along with exciting drinks in a chic ambience and lovely decor.
Auber-gin is located in Breach Candy and the 1st floor of hub town. Stepping in you sees a decorated bar, elongated table and artistic paintings over walls in shades of blue. The vibe is similar to that of a nightclub but not as intense.
The menu comes off as really enthusiastic with combinations of dishes that are unusual, crazy and taste that cannot be imagined together. The execution of these flavours together lacked in the taste. The menu has a separate selection for Gin based cocktails which are good.
Beetroot Mac And Cheese, one was most intriguing of the unusual combinations here and does deliver a delicious flavour. The knock-up of beetroot puree into a classic dish was executed well with a taste that is smooth and provides a comfort factor to it. One that is highly recommended.
Blue Cheese Balls were stuffed cheese mashed potatoes with the crispy pan-fried surface with smooth mashed potatoes within. This was served with chilli spiced maple which happened to be sweet. The cheese balls missed out on the gooeyness.
Auber-Gin Pizza, a house special dishes cooked with aubergines. The idea might not sound great but the creamy, spicy, appetizing flavour of eggplants along with the crispy thin surface is delicious to have.
Spicy Black Bean Slider, these were pretty basic for the taste, nothing too spicy about it. The black bean patties tasted meaty.
