Shades of Joy is an independent home decor brand run by a teacher who makes beautiful and quirky candles in the shapes of cupcakes, vodka bottles, macaroon candles and more.
Shades of Joy is run by Karishma Lalwani who makes these amazingly quirky candles out of her home that was set up in 2013. It’s not your regular off-the-mill pillar-like candles. Instead, you’ll find personalised candles in the shapes of Buddha, a teacup and saucer, scented ones in jars – basically in all shapes, sizes and colours.
Apart from these handmade candles, Karishma also makes unique candle holders and wooden platters. Though it’s primarily a candle making home business, they also do other cute home decor stuff. If you, like us, are obsessed with everything and anything cupcakes – you’ll love the cupcake candles here. They’re life-sized cupcakes and wait for it…smell like an actual cupcake. They’re topped with glittery sprinkles and these candles are priced at INR 165 each. Unfortunately, they are not edible but they sure smell yummy. We surely have our hearts set on these cute little things for the next candlelight dinner we’re planning on doing.
Karishma loves to create these beautiful candles herself and has been doing so since she was a teenager. Now her passion project is a business project and people can support in her this delicious endeavour.
