Ten-Second Takeaway

Andheri residents if you have been looking for a tiffin service in and around the area, Tadka Box will fix your need for home-cooked food with their monthly tiffin subscriptions.

Chow Down

Tadka Box, based out of Lokhandwala, offers Indian cuisine in their tiffin service. They offer four different types of monthly subscriptions – all catering to one’s appetite and how many options you want to in terms of dishes. For INR 75, you get roti and a vegetables dish, for 85 you get roti, a dish plus salad, and for INR 100, you get two dishes, rotis and rice plus salad.

Lastly, for INR 120, you get a full dabba meal, with rotis, rice, two vegetable dishes plus one gravy plus salad on the side and yogurt – perfect for someone who prefers having a wholesome meal. It’s a purely vegetarian tiffin service though, so if you’re looking for meat options, this can be disappointing.

If you’d like try it, you can do a trial session and pay the price of the subscription you have in mind, but Tadka Box only does monthly memberships. However, if you are skipping a few a meals in a month {if you’re going out, cooking yourself}, that is carried on to the next month and deducted from the monthly price. The people at Tadka Box are really helpful, friendly and will accommodate your dietary instructions if you have any {if you want it less spicy, less oil etc}.

What We Love

Unlike a lot of regular tiffin services, Tadka Box’s food is closer to the home-cooked food we have had in the city. Less on oil and spice, the flavours are just about right, one of the main reasons we love their food.¬†We really liked their yellow dal with malai kofta, both with subtle flavours with proper ‘ghar ka khana’ feels.

So, We’re Saying…

If you had been hunting for a simple tiffin service, let your hunt end at Tadka Box for meals that transport you back to your home.
