What You Require: Rice, Moong Dal, Ghee/Oil, Ginger, Green Chillies, Tomato and spices. Vegetables are optional.

Time Required: 30-40 minutes

Do you always end up with really bland and messy khichdi? Try Dal Khichdi instead. This recipe is really forgiving and if you’ve given up on traditional khichdi, you should hop onto this one. If you’re opting for vegan, swap the ghee for oil and you’re good to go.
