Delhi’s famous Summer House Cafe will be opening in Todi Mills in mid-November and you can groove to Patrick Watson’s tunes really soon on December 7.
Can You Guess Where Delhi's Summer House Cafe Is Opening In Mumbai?
Shortcut
Of Chris Martin, Cocktails And More
Summer House Cafe by Ricky Teja will be opening in Todi Mills cushioned nicely between Cafe Zoe and OML’s office in mid-November {the date will be announced soon}. Summer House Cafe was thrown into the limelight post Chris Martin’s impromptu gig on one fated night in the summer of 2015 and since then Delhi people have been flocking to this place fearing the dreaded FOMO.
Keeping up with the same setting of Delhi, the Mumbai place is a 8,000 sq space with two floors is a 200 seater or 400- 500 standing space. It’ll be done up in a rustic and antique decor – so expect a very ‘homely’ feeling – like the summer houses from the snow-laden country of Sweden {which is the inspiration apparently}. There will also be a big stage downstairs which will host the cool gigs that Delhi has been fortunate to see and of course, Patrick Watson of the ‘Lighthouse fame’ is set to perform on December 7. We’ve also been told Mike Posner aka I Took A Pill In Ibiza guy may also perform in December {24th being the tentative date}. There is also another popular gig slated for November {Ricky promises to update us soon} – so we’ll keep you in the loop.
Chow Down
The classic wooden baked pizzas, multi-cuisine dishes and more that are being served in the cafe in Delhi. Of course, one addition to the menu that caters to us Mumbaikars will be a section of seafood and other popular ones like batata wada and more to suit the taste of this city.
Sip On
We’ve been told cocktails will be the main focus with their old-fashioned and margaritas flowing in the cafe. Since Mumbai is getting big on craft beer you can also expect at least seven to eight types of draft beer and ales. Classics like Hoegarden, Kingfishers and Stellas will be housed served routinely.
#LBBTip: You can also expect different versions of LITs – something other cafes in Mumbai already offer and well.
So, We’re Saying…
We’re excited to see what this famous Dilli cafe brings to Mumbai and more than anything, the artists we can expect to see live. Summer House Cafe, we welcome you to Mumbai.
