I finally made my way to Rue Du Liban last night and I was pleasantly surprised. First, let me talk about the ambiance. It reminded me of those old American diners during the prohibition, I quite liked the decor though it was a tad too dark. It was nice though and different from the normal Lebanese restaurants.
Now onto the food. We had two mezze, hummus with lamb, lamb sausages, beef kabab, tabbouleh and tried the flatbread and kibbeh. Their food was full of flavour and very refreshing. It seems like we are getting some good Lebanese restaurants in the city.
The dish above is the lamb hummus. It was nice and creamy. Its texture was really smooth and not clumpy. The meaty lamb flavour did not overpower the hummus but complimented it very well. The roasted pine nuts and olive oil tied the dish together very well. Their pita bread was really nice as well. They serve it hot and fresh.
