Ten-Second Takeaway

By August 2017, Mumbaikars can drop by at Mumbai’s first ever drive-in theatre that’ll open up at Maker Maxity in the Bandra-Kurla Complex, as reported by The Financial Express.

Not Just A Drive-In

As reported by the FE, the theatre will be housed out of the Maker Maxity in BKC, which will also incorporate a lavish fine-dining area that can seat upto 100 people and will be able to accommodate at least 300 cars for the visual treat of watching a movie holed up in our cosy cars.

The tickets are to be priced at INR 1,000 per car. However, if the drive-in doesn’t enthrall you, one can also drop by at the six-screen multiplex that’ll be set up below the drive-in. The tickets at these multiple screens will be priced between INR 250- INR 300 {normal seats} and INR 750 {for the reclining seats}. PVR Cinema will be spearheading this exciting property which it has leased from Maker Maxity. It’ll be building two PVR Gold Class, a home theatre {with 35 seats}, and three other regular auditoriums.

There has been a drive-in theatre in Mumbai before, but it wasn’t a permanent structure, and was shut down in 2010. We’re excited to see this one last longer

So, We're Saying...

2017, for far, according to this news looks promising. With Mumbai’s first ever drive-in cinema, it is sure to boost BKC’s thriving entertainment space as thousands of office-goers find themselves looking for things to do post-work. Come August, a romantic drive-in movie date will be hopefully a reality, and we cannot wait for the project to shape up quickly.
