Located in the bustling part of Mumbai's start-up hub, Powai, and designed by Nikita Harisinghani of KNS Architects, the space evidently feels like a fresh breath of air. The carefully designed restaurant, with hints of being an extension of a living room, literally has a story in every corner. The 30-foot-high library surrounding a spiral staircase entrance was what drew me in to the boho chic restaurant. So, when I experienced the space, I wondered how amazing it would be to recreate the look of this cosy restaurant and bring it into your home. Leisurely Living Room Layout
The flow in the living room is considerably more important than the design. The essential thing to watch out for is the space planning and movement, even though it must be ideal for you to have everything in one location. At Eve, while the original plan had tables arranged with around 5 feet of distance (which is a lot for restaurants), with the increased usage of the space, more table settings were added without compromising on the space. A distance of around 4 feet is enough to move comfortably. So, before you add furniture, list down all the activities you'll be using your living room for. Then, with the mantra 'less is more', you can have a breezy, leisurely plan for your drawing room.
All About Biophilic Design
As narrated by the staff of Eve, the huge, in-your-face planters weren't part of the design, but before opening up the restaurant, designer Nikita decided to add the huge plant pots. Considering the space of your home or restaurant, it is important to have the planters at eye level to see the space as it was intended by the designer. Small plants play an important role in making the seating area feel fresh. However, huge planters take the interiors to the next level by actually executing the idea of "bringing the outdoors to the indoors." Biophilic design, which easily translates to having nature imbibed in your interiors, is a rising trend that interior designers have been inculcating in residential and corporate interiors too.

Custom-Built Furniture
Eve sourced almost all its furniture from Delhi, and here's a list of all the furniture markets in Delhi for you to find the kind of furniture that speaks to your lifestyle and taste. While the restaurant got their tables, chairs, and centre tables customised, you can either opt for the same or pick from the ready-made options available in these markets.
