While on our weekly city beat, we stopped by Dadar to hunt for local recommendations. While here, we spotted Zola, a store with a focus on contemporary Indian wear - ethnic with a modern spirit.

What Makes It Awesome

Browsing through the collection at Zola, we realised most of their clothing is ideal for Indian weather - comfortable, breezy cottons that are easy to wear in our scorching summer heat! While most of the clothing here focuses on ethnic outfits in every day styles, they do also have a few that take on a fusion, indo-western vibe.

For those of you who like earthy, warm tones, they have a wonderful selection of kurtis in flattering cuts that can be paired with a flowing maxi skirt or a pair of palazzos for a relaxed weekend vibe. If you're into the boho-chic look, then they also have pretty jackets in ethnic prints that you can pair up with your favourite kurti and a pair of cute jutis, and you're all set to go! If you're looking to shop for basics, this store also has simple palazzos and leggings that you can mix and match to create a complete look.

Prices start at approximately INR 990 for simple kurtis and kurtas while the more elaborate outfits can cost you upwards of 3,500.

What Could Be Better

They don't have too many options in display, the clothes are set up in stacks, so you may have to hunt a bit to find what you want exactly. However, the sales staff will help you find what you need in your size, and they also have a website in case you are interested in shopping online.

Pro-Tip

Their collection of cotton kurtas and kurtis are ideal for summer wear. Do ask the store staff to help you out with finding your size.
