Bohri cuisine is a unique mixture of flavours, but the thaal steals the spotlight. It consists of four flavours – kharaas {savoury}, meethaas {sweet}, jaman {main course} and a salad. The tradition involves members of a Bohri Muslim family gathering around and eating together from a thaal. Here’s your chance to indulge in a similar experience with a 7-course larger-than-life spread at Neel, Mahalakshmi.

The great thaal includes our favourite dishes – chicken shahi rolls consisting of minced chicken with a gooey, cheesy center {yumm!}, mutton khichda and the Bohri haleem which is generously topped with crunchy caramelized onions and mint leaves to enhance the taste.
