Football season is here, and we are as excited as you are to be part of India’s first ever FIFA World Cup! Here is the lowdown on getting tickets for the matches happening in Mumbai, and making the most of the FIFA U-17 India World Cup 2017 experience.

Getting Tickets

There are four matches to take place in Mumbai, two matches on Thursday, October 12 {that’s tomorrow} with matches between Turkey and Paraguay at 5pm, and a match between USA and Colombia at 8pm.

The Knockout Stage of the World Cup starts with the ‘Round of 16’, where one group’s finalist will be competing against another group’s runner-up. These matches will be taking place in Mumbai on Wednesday, October 18.

Catch the semi finals of the World Cup on Wednesday, October 25 too. All full-price tickets are available here, starting at INR 200 for category 3, INR 400 for category 2 tickets and INR 800 for the best seats, North Level category 2.

Jersey? Sure

Want to feel like a true blue fan but don’t want to spend it all on the attire? Worry not. There are shops on Hill Road, Colaba Causeway and Fashion Street where you can get your hands on cheaper versions of football jerseys {though we really cannot guarantee the availability left or the options available!}.

Getting To The Stadium

The matches are taking place at DY Patil Stadium in Nerul, and the closest train station is Nerul, which is only about 10 minutes away. The harbour line connects you to this Navi Mumbai station. Super convenient, and you skip the traffic.

With a capacity of 51,000 spectators, stadium has a gull wing roof, so no seat really has an obstructed vision so you’ve got a good deal whichever seat you get.

So, We're Saying...

Though you’ll have to travel all the way to Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium for the finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017, we think you should catch at least one of the matches that are taking place in Navi Mumbai. Here’s a full list of the schedule.

#LBBTip

Don’t carry water, edibles or pets with you inside the stadium.
