The entire concept was inspired by the typhoon shelters in Hong Kong, man-made covers used by fishermen to shield their boats from typhoons. Their menu consists of dim sums, small plates, big plates and royal staples. Their signature dishes like the Typhoon Shelter spicy crab, tuna tartar, tender Nanjing duck as well as Hong Kong classics “Bo Lo Bao” or pineapple bun and squid ink dumplings are a must have.

We fell in love with their 15-course veg and non-veg tasting menus, which are small in portions but full of flavour. SodaBottleOpenerwala is much-revered for its Parsi dishes with a Mumbai twist to it. From the classic dhansak, berry pulao and patra ni macchi for the mains, to mawa cake or apple pie custard for the dessert, it’s worth every penny.
