Ten-Second Takeaway

The pretty cafe culture in the city has made us skip the old school dining experience, but we think it’s time to make fine dining great again. We have curated a list of places in Palladium, High Street Phoenix to explore different cuisines and we think you’ll love them. Here's what you need to try.

Typhoon Shelter

Typhoon Shelter is a new oriental-themed restaurant with their menu created by the celebrity chef Christian Yang. The entire concept was inspired by the typhoon shelters in Hong Kong, man-made covers used by fishermen to shield their boats from typhoons. Their menu consists of dim sums, small plates, big plates and royal staples. Their signature dishes like the Typhoon Shelter spicy crab, tuna tartar, tender Nanjing duck as well as Hong Kong classics “Bo Lo Bao” or pineapple bun and squid ink dumplings are a must have.

Rivers 2 Oceans

India’s first champagne and caviar bar showcases a plethora of seafood preparations for which the produce is sourced both locally and internationally. We fell in love with their 15-course veg and non-veg tasting menus, which are small in portions but full of flavour. From their a-la-carte menu, the highlights are cold hamachi and caviar plate, braised mussels served with parsley butter, and truffled red lobster. Veggie lovers can opt for mushroom & truffle pate, melba toast, reconstructed bell pepper with corn quesadilla, and green garlic risotto served with aubergine fritters.

FOO

Say hello to India’s first Asian Tapas, FOO, which is your go-to destination for a quick bite at an affordable price. Run by The Tham brothers, Ryan and Keenan along with ace restaurateur, Kishore DF,  the brand is bringing Asian comfort food to our rescue. The menu consists of sushi rolls, dim-sum baskets, tempuras, grills, stir-fries, sticky salads, classic Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei dishes and a lot more.  FOO’s bustling and chattering bar promise to be your very own neighbourhood go-to spot for a saké or two.

SodaBottleOpenerWala

SodaBottleOpenerwala is much-revered for its Parsi dishes with a Mumbai twist to it. From the classic dhansak, berry pulao and patra ni macchi for the mains, to mawa cake or apple pie custard for the dessert, it’s worth every penny. Currently drooling on their bacon vada pav which is a classic tribute to the Mumbai’s favourite street food along with the goodness of bacon. Their shooter and cocktails need to be on your list too.

So, We’re Saying…

You don’t have to take a day off to have a hearty meal. Head with your work squad or bae and make it a quick lunch at these beautiful places in Palladium & High Street Phoenix.
