What Makes It Awesome
Dhvani Behl, design student of Rhode Island School of Design started her own brand Flora for Fauna in 2014, and likes to be known as a print-maker. This is a brand for women’s wear and men’s wear alike, and what makes her designs pop are the prints on the cloth. She uses textiles as her expression of art and laboriously transfers her handmade drawings on to cloth.
Her menswear collection, In The Jungle, which defies norm with its floral, and forest-themed prints for men, and veers into the unchartered territory of being a bit flamboyant for men is drop-dead gorgeous. The colours are muted yet attractive such as mustard yellow, dull green, red, etc. and are all digitally printed on to gorgeous hand-spun silks.
