We took a stroll inside the city’s first forest-themed garden, located shyly behind Inorbit mall, Malad, and here’s why you should too.

What Is It?

Behind Inorbit mall is Mumbai’s first forest-themed garden, boasting of more than 3,000 varieties of trees, a butterfly garden, a lotus pond and the longest jogging track spread across an area of 6.5 acres of land. Conceptualised by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the garden was made on a plot lying vacant for years. Palm trees found across India have been planted in the garden, along with a patch earmarked for flowering trees and medicinal plants and even fruits.

The area is huge and is ideal for when you want to clear your head {walks can solve anything, really} or want to run a few kilometers before/after work. At times when the concrete jungle gets to you, this park is a respite from all things mechanical.

So, We're Thinking...

If you’re a resident of the Goregaon/Malad stretch and prefer the greens instead of tiled floors, this park is a blessing. A place where you can actually hear yourself talk.
