What Is It?

No Footprints Mumbai is a unique travel boutique that offers their patrons an experience that explores Mumbai beyond its conventional tourist stops. Hidden alleys, nondescript stalls and history that expands beyond two centuries, Mumbai is a cultural hub – and No Footprints aims to encapsulate that in their city tours. On Friday, May 26 they will be organising a free tour in collaboration with LBB that will begin at 5.15 am {hey, early risers}, and end around 8.15am at Shivaji Park, Dadar.

Who Is It For?

This intriguing tour is for anyone who loves to scratch the surface and unearth hidden gems and be narrated stories about the city they live in. No Footprints was started off by Harshvardhan Tanwar and Eesha Singh in an effort to tell the story of the city in their own unique way. Mumbai, rife with its Victorian history serves as a melting pot and this is a perfect way to understand the vibrant dynamics of the city.

You can expect a 20-odd seater bus that will take you around the exciting places in Mumbai. People should assemble opposite Taj Mahal Hotel at 5am, and the tour will begin at 5.15am {don’t be late}.

Why Should I Go?

To explore the city like never before. Whilst the city sleeps, the people on the tour will be up and about. The tour will unravel the thriving fish market at Sassoon Dock – an overwhelming yet organised chaos that churns out tonnes of fish every single day.

Other places that will be covered include SoBo’s newspaper distribution point, a history of the mills of Mumbai, the famous Dadar flower market, and also get an insight into the popular Indian sport, Mallakhamb. You’ll also be privy to the gigantic self-sustaining and biggest laundry in Asia aka Dhobhi Ghaat. Get your cameras out and go along capturing the moments.

For the tour, there are only 15 places up for grabs. All you need to do is sign up and hurry up.

Anything Else?

The tour will begin sharp at 5.15 am {be on time folks}. A bottle of water will be provided to everyone, and a pit stop will be made to include a quick chai break and some catching up with others, and maybe make new friends? Though the tour is on a Friday morning, we think it’s a perfect way to begin the the day before going in to work. Oh, the stories we’ll have.
