Taste of Joy, a franchise of Khana Khazaana was a dream that turned into reality for two foodie childhood friends.
They have opened up in Ghatkopar, the foodie hub, hardly a month ago. Though small in size, this cafe has a huge variety of pure vegetarian delicacies to offer.
I started off with their welcome drink - Chandan Sharbat. It tasted good but it wasn't something that would suit everyone’s taste buds, I preferred to quickly switch to a sweet lime soda.
Next up was something very different, Burmese soup. Yes, you heard that right, not your regular Burmese Khow Suey but its soup. It tasted fine and the next dish was my personal favourite, their fusion idli dish.
Taste of Joy is already famous for its version of fusion idlis. The dish had a variety of idlis {cheese, spinach & corn, paneer, Taste of Joy special sauce, and lastly the idli with cocktail sauce}, my absolute favourite was the cheese variant.
We also tried the Chinese sesame toast and Pita bread with garlic, mint, and a cocktail dip, which we thoroughly relished.
For the main course, we chose to try their penne pasta with exotic veggies which was a treat to the taste buds.
The meal was completed with a generous serving of rasgulla.
PS- Taste of Joy also takes party orders and caters to yummy meals in a box. You can check out their Instagram link for more details and get ordering.
