Baby's Day Out: Spend A Fun Time With Your Kids

The information in this post might be outdated
Do you recall receiving a Perk or a Munch in the assembly line of your school on November 14? Or ditching that uncool uniform for one day and flaunting them trendy dungarees or cool tees? Children's Day rings so many bells and it only gets us nostalgic. While times have changed and you might be on the other side now, here's how you can ensure that the tiny tots in your life have a great day out. Or if you're still a kiddo at heart, treat yourself to these experiences in the city!

For The Lover Of Pooches And Felines

The Pawfect Life

If your tiny tot loves cuddling four-legged munchkins and you cannot afford to keep a pet at home, worry not. You can surprise your kid with some furry love at the Pawfect Life. This adorable dog petting center in Andheri allows you to come and spend time with the resident cuddlemonsters. We bet it'll make your child's (or your) day!

When To Go: Ideally, evening works better because that's when the doggos are all active and playful

P.S: This one's also a boarding center for pets so if you're worried about going on a vacay and your pet feeling the blues, trust them to make sure your doggo has a good time. You can also head to a Puppy Cuddles Dog Cafe in Khar.

Cat Cafe Studio

If your kid's more of a cat lover, then we bet he/she would love this Versova haven. The Cat Cafe Studio rescues street kitties and takes care of them, and also has a cafe serving some delicious sandwiches and carrot cakes. There's food, cats, and happy vibes. What else does one need?

What Not To Miss: This cafe also sells cat-based souvenirs that you might want to buy. And there's a separate space in the cafe where open-mics or comedy sessions take place.

For The Foodie Kid

Pizza Express (All Outlets)

Millennial kids love their pizzas. And what's more fun that making one live at a restaurant and then having it? Pizza Express allows your tiny tots to make their choice of pizza on the table, and the staff assists you in all steps. Bon Appétit!

When To Experience: The pizza-making activity happens from Monday to Thursday at any given time of the day.

For The Tiny Trekkers

Karnala Fort Hike

This is an easy one and not too far away from the city as well. If your child's seen inspirational movies like Into The Wild, or even a YJHD, and wants to scale a peak, introduce him to the Karnala Fort. Its a 3-hour hike through rocky but green patches, and can be done without a professional guide.

Best time: Obviously the monsoons, but November second week onward is a good time to visit it too.

What's More: Karnala also has a bird sanctuary that your kid will love.

For The Gaming Buff

Smaaash, Lower Parel

This always tops our list of fun gaming activities. And for all the right reasons. Don't tell your little ones where you're taking them, and when you reach Smaaash, just leave them at the venue and watch the happiness unfold. There's Go Karting, camel racing, bowling, and so much more to choose from.

Timings: 1 PM to 1 AM

Price: The price depends on the game your kid chooses to play. Rates start at INR 449 onward.

Ministry Of Games, Mulund

Your child will totally love this space (and you're gonna thank us later!) This board game cafe has over 250 varieties to choose. There's everything from Monopoly: The Game Of Thrones version to Alcatraz, Settlers of Catan, Jenga, and more. And if you feel peckish they have eats like sandwiches and snacks plus coffee to refuel.

What's More: What's great is that they have a day package that allows you to play unlimited games, play station and pool at affordable rates.
