We visited Powai’s shopping haven, Galleria and came back less tired and very happy with our loot.

What Makes It Awesome

The complex is huge and the variety of shops lets you be at ease because you don’t need to hop markets to buy different things. Everything is contained under this palatial and architecturally beautiful marvel.

Other than fulfilling your shopping needs, it also takes care of your after {or before} shopping fuel with numerous restaurants with two food courts on the first floor. Waiters will come up to you and pitch that their eatery is the best, but we ate what we wanted to.

The market can be explored in laps. If you didn’t find something the first time, take another round and you might. There are apparel shops like Supreme Addy which houses everything from tops {INR 550 upward}, trousers/jeans/dresses {INR 1,000 upward} for women and t-shirts {INR 250 upward}, casual and formal shirts {INR 600 upward} and jeans {INR 1,000 upward} for men.

The market is also buzzing with boutiques selling ethnic wear and there are quite a lot of them {some may even have western wear}. There’s Kum Kum boutique that sells ready-made suit-salwars for INR 2,000 upward, kurtis {INR 795 upward}, tops {INR 500 upward} and jeans {INR 795 upward} Other than Kum Kum, there’s also Shree Ganesh boutique and Saloni collection to scour through. Lovers of export surplus branded wear, head to Purple Haze.

For fitness fanatics, Xtreme sports and lifestyle (Powai residents swear by this old shop) has all your sports gear under one roof. They offer discounts as well. Pretty Walk shoes has a great collection of casual footwear.

Pro-Tip

If you hate hopping markets and would rather be at one place for all needs, head to Galleria. It retains the open-air shopping charm {unlike malls}. Delhi people, this may take you back to the markets in Gurgaon.
