In order to celebrate the madness and allow people to experience it like a local, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation {MTDC} will be organising ‘Maha Ganesh Festival Darshan’ from August 27 to to September 3.     MTDC in collaboration with Bombay Municipal Corporation {BMC} is organising Maha Ganesh Festival Darshan for anyone looking to experience the festival like a local – visiting city pandals, watching idol immersion and other festivities are on the itinerary.

    With Ganesh Chaturthi’s 125th year this year, the idea is to showcase the festival and the amount of hard work that has been put in by the locals. The Darshan is open to foreigners, tourists and even locals. All you have to do is go to the MTDC website and choose a package that suits you.

    What We Love

    The Darshan will be a wholesome experience that will include sightseeing in an AC coach, visits to cultural shows and art galleries. There’ll be tour guides to explain the festivities and three meals provided through the day.

    They currently have different packages for tourists and executives {INR 4,600} and a standard tour for INR 3,150 {inclusive of GST}. The tour will include Girgaum Chowpatty, Lalbagcha idol, the tallest Ganesh idol {Mumbaicha Raja}, the first and the oldest pandal, Keshavji Naik Chawl Ganeshotsav, and so much more.

    It is going to be an enriching experience, and you’ll learn a lot about his festival that takes Maharashtra by storm year after year.
