Genuine Broaster Chicken’s new outlet in Bandra is located in the Reclamation Area, right next to Doolally Taproom. It’s a brightly lit restaurant, with quirky chicken-related doodles on the walls and football helmets as lighting fixtures. Fairy lights dominate the interiors here.
We tried a bunch of their offerings – the butter chicken burger, the Punjabi fusion pizza, and the rogan josh grilled burger. All the food is good – the meat is well-cooked and the food is seasoned very subtly. But the standout dishes are obviously, the chicken. We advise you to stick to the first page of the menu.
The genuine broaster chicken is flavourful and fried perfectly, without a trace of extra oil. Their Happy Fried Chicken is ideal for those who love KFC but want something of a higher quality.
But the true winner for us {we tried to save the best for last} are the chicken wings. The wings here are available in six different flavours, including kasundi mustard, curried BBQ and more. We tried the assorted platter which has 12 wings and three dips and well, there was total silence on the table till those wings were polished off. They’re meaty yet tender, refraining from being overcooked and gnarly like many chicken wings can be. We can’t recommend them highly enough. We say head here, order some wings and a beer, and have an epic evening.

Besides the typical spirits menu, Genuine Broaster Chicken also has some very interesting cocktails. Try their Palang Tod, which lives up to its name and is a very potent combination of Red Bull and beer.

Head here for a perfect, budget-friendly evening out. We ate like starved kings and still didn’t spend over INR 1,000 per person. This is definitely our favourite new place in town for amazing chicken wings.
