What Is It?

The Tarq gallery in Colaba is hosting an exhibition of limited edition prints by Karan Kapoor, titled 'Time & Tide'. Comprised of photographs drawn from two bodies of work by Karan Kapoor, on display are photographs from the 1980s of older Anglo-Indians.There's also 'Portugal Goa' - photos which capture the last of that era.

Who Is It For?

If you like to delve into some nostalgia and find yourself imagining how things would've been in the era gone by, head here. You would find pictures capturing the last remaining remnants of the British Raj – people who remembered the railway cantonments, the Marilyn Monroe look-a-like contest and others.

Why Should I Go For It?

This is the first time that London-based Kapoor's will be on exhibit in India. Kapoor is the son of Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal, and his documentation of a community holding on to their identity is a touching and vivid depiction. The photographs in this exhibition are an exploration in niche communities and if that interests you, head here to soak yourself in the memories of the world gone by.
