If you belong to the Dadar West – Mahim clan, then Fresh Catch isn’t new to you. Known for their home-style Konkani preparations, this seven-table eatery is a delight for all seafood lovers. With many famous personalities as their patrons, Fresh Catch has been around for decades, catering to hungry souls who head there for delicious crab, clam, and fish preparations.
Make sure you go here with a good appetite. Now, you can go ahead with our recommendations, but when you actually land up there, it will be the owner Francis Fernandes who will personally take you through the menu and suggest delicacies that suit your seafood cravings. First up, for the starters opt for their prawns adithya {INR 380}, the Bombil tawa fried crispy {INR 320} and the crab meat garlic butter {INR 650} for sure. Those crabs will blow your mind, and we’re not even joking. They also have amazing pomfret and surmai starters in case you’re a little too hungry.
For the mains, without a doubt opt for their clam dishes {seasonal} such as the Sippi Sukkem {INR 325}, which is a dry preparation with clams, but goes really well with the main course. Do not miss out on the rawas or surmai curry {both for INR 350} which go very well when teamed with steamed rice. They also have amazing Konkani meat preparations, but if the place is called Fresh Catch, you’ve got to have your priorities right {having said that, do try their mutton}.
So, We’re Saying…
It’s never a wrong decision if you’ve chosen Fresh Catch as your next destination for a value for money, delicious meal. Nestled in a bylane in Mahim, here’s an eatery you won’t regret going to.
