A unique melange of various cuisines served in a bowl is what United Bowl of Nations stands for! Are you a fan of Mexican/Italian/Continental/Chinese cuisines?
Then this is the place to be for your next dinner date! Located in one of the most popular areas in Bandra, Mumbai, UBON boasts of classic interiors with a humble space. Their servers are very warm and courteous as well as prompt in whipping up your meals and serving them piping hot! I started off by ordering my regular lemonade. I decided on trying as many bowls as possible hence ordered for 4.
First up was the Asian black bean bowl( black beans in oriental herbs & spices served with either rice/noodles). This was my most favourite dish and absolutely finger licking good! The perfect amount of spice and sauces, not too sweet nor too spicy.
Next up was the Indonesian Rendang bowl, (a coconut based curry bowl served with rice). This dish was a bit average and sort of similar to the oriental dumpling bowl I ordered after, but this tasted far better than the rendang bowl.
Lastly, I ordered the Srilankan kuttu bowl, (crispy kuttu roti soaked in spicy Sri Lankan curry). This dish is apt for someone who likes their meal spicy but personally, I did not quite enjoy it as I am not too much of a spicy person.
All in all, it was a great experience and I loved the concept of the United Bowl of Nations!
