Plan A Road Trip With Your Pals To The Beautiful Solanpada Dam In Karjat

Solanpada Dam is located in the midst of Karjat. The place is situated only 2.5 to 3 hours away from Mumbai. The roads are now in bad shape {some patches here and there} but the view on the drive is what makes it worth going for and obviously the tranquility which it offers!

One can actually see the waterfalls coming from mountain ranges and trust me the view is treated to eyes! On the way, don't forget to buy the fresh vegetables, handmade mud utensils and famous vada pav, bhaji of Karjat.

Currently, no one is allowed to enter the dam because of safety issues. {But there are obviously rule breakers and we spotted them getting into the dam}.

The car goes right till the base of the dam, so no problem of walking. Although, there is a parking place for hardly 5-6 cars, so it is better to get down and check first.

Do carry a good camera, rainy wear and an extra pair of clothes just in case you get to jump into the dam.
