While we were out exploring in Bandra, walking past Linking Road we spotted a store that had the most stunning sequin dress! Exactly like the ones trending right now. Think Elizabeth Olsen at the Oscars. The store, Grayps on Linking Road is a western wear store that’s packed with flowy, extravagant, shiny, and unapologetically glam dresses. Their clothing is for occasions when you don’t mind basking in the spotlight, unless you let them know you’re looking for something more low-key.
Grayps has several kinds of party-ready dresses and co-ords, offering a ton of variety with their designs. Their designer, Hina, took us through the range which was on trend and unique. The sequin dresses start at INR 2,500, are available in basic and faux fur trim variants. We love how all their sequinned dresses catch the light beautifully not making them look too garish. However, if you want a more elegant, flowy vibe, you’ve got to check out their satin dresses that also start at INR 2,500 onwards.
We also spotted a ton of dreamy tulle dresses with frills, and a few velvety numbers. Their co-ord sets are just as dressy and as we all know, co-ords are not going away anytime soon so we'd suggest you stock up! They’ve also got crop tops with lovely, intricate detailed embroidery work that can be paired with flouncy pants, or structured skirts—ask them for options!
The coolest part though is the fact that they’re really good at customising an outfit for you with an unbelievable turn around time of less than a week! While finding designers for Indian clothing is easy, it can be challenging to work with a designer on something western.
So, head here when you’re in the mood for an OTT outfit, made locally, because this store is definitely going to the top of our list.
