Wrap up early (or bribe your boss) and head straight to the #HaqSeHindustan Concert in Worli on November 14!
The city's underground rap scene has been in the limelight for quite a while now. Thanks to Rolling Stone India and Qyuki, a digital media platform, that collectively had launched #HaqSeHipHop a while ago. Through this, they give a voice to the thriving Hip Hop culture in the city. This movement has four pillars- Bolo (podcasts to educate the budding artists); Dekho (interactive videos); Seekho (masterclasses focusing on beatboxing, rapping, and b-boying); and Hindustan- the pan-India concerts featuring some of the top as well as budding artists from different corners of the country.
There are 10 incredible hip-hop artists from 7 different states, on one big stage (can't get better, can it?) The line-up's kaafi solid too- You'll see a Prabh Deep from Delhi, Swadesi from Ahmedabad, Khasi Bloodz from Shillong, MC Manmeet Kaur from Chandigarh, and the Dharavi Dream Project and Zake from aamchi Mumbai.
We're sure you already know half of these powerhouses of talent through Gully Boy, and if you still aren't aware, this concert's for you. So give the fake rap some break, and tune into the REAL voices from 5:30 PM onward at the Famous Studios in Worli. Passes are for INR 499 only, guys.
