Whipping up a delicacy in the kitchen is often much more than just delicious food; it is therapeutic. However, with great power {of baking of course} also comes the great responsibility of keeping a watch on the sugar. Pastry Chef Beena Goswami has decided to take it upon herself to help us whip up healthy versions of our favourite treats- cakes.
At her one day workshop slated to happen in Borivali, she will take us through each and every tiny detail of baking a variety of cakes- everyone's favourite Black Forest cake, a healthy fruit cake, a doll cake, a photo cake and a gel cake {that's a LOT of cakes, isn't it?}. From the different methods of making a basic eggless sponge cake and making ganaches to how to use a palette knife and how to give the cake a proper finishing; she will share her secrets with us all.
