Ten-Second Takeaway

The beauty of Alibaug lies in the beaches for sure, but for those pressed for time, it lies in its accessibility. Your trip Alibaug gives you two awesome choices – either you can hop on a ferry {not during monsoon} or set yourself up for a beautiful drive. For those of you drive down, take the Navi Mumbai route, head up to Kasar Bhat, leading to Alibaug. In case you are planning a quick getaway soon, here’s an itinerary that might come in handy.

Brekkie - 7:30 AM

Always start your journey on a full stomach aka a happy note. During summers, the Mandwa Ferry is the best option. You should definitely stop by Mondegar for their egg dishes. But in the monsoon , the ferry sin’t an option. So when you’re driving down through Navi Mumbai, stop by Cafe Binge On.

Life Is A Beach {10:00AM - noon}

Reach Kihim Beach and soak in the sun/rain for bit. There are stalls outside to shop from. You’ll see the villagers going on about their business, dogs on the beach and even horses, if you’re lucky.

Lunching Scenes {Noon -2pm}

After you’re done with Kihim, head for a seafood lunch at Sanman, a small but popular eatery. Their veg thali is also revered by the people who visit. Try crab masala, surmai, fried mussels, pulao, pomfret and bombil.

Take A Stroll {2:00pm - 3:00pm}

After you’re done with hogging at Sanman, may we suggest another trip to a beach? Varsoli beach is less crowded as compared to Alibaug.
