We really did love the grand 3-storey Peacock Life store in the city. It was a Bandra icon of sorts, and stepping in felt like a whole experience. After COVID hit, the brand shifted base to a wonderfully green habitat in Karjat. A bigger outlet has opened up there, and in true Peacock Life fashion, it’s chock full of beautiful decor items that will have you loading up on your cart.
From spotting truly unique and pocket-friendly finds - like a bright red wooden apple - to finding ultra-luxe furniture that costs almost a lakh… It’s a store that has clearly prioritized sourcing and creating priceless products that truly feel like “finds”. We adore the furniture just as much as we enjoy the decor! Everything feels whimsical, and many products simply seem to transcend eras. You’ll get it when you flip past the range of very chic Jaipur-esque furniture, and the very pared-back Mid-Century inspired pieces in the same range. Think Sunburst side tables and heavily carved almirahs side by side.
They’ve also got a huge range of brassware, paintings, mixed-media art, kitchen and serveware, and even cushion covers.
But that’s not the coolest part, according to us.They now have an uber-cozy 2 bedroom home at the Karjat property that you can actually live in, too! As you can expect, it, too, is super eclectic and still very chic. It's no surprise that they've been featured by Architectural Digest, Vogue and Elle! We suggest heading here if you’re in the mood to relax at a beautiful homestay instead of a traditional hotel.
Prices for the products start at INR 250, but can go up to a lakh for the handmade furniture.
