Ten-Second Takeaway

IBar, the Bandra lounge where we’ve spent many-a Sunday evening listening to live and improvised performances and had one Long Island Iced Tea too many, is shutting shop on Sunday, January 8.

What, Why?

We don’t know. We do know that the owner, Lakhan Jethani, announced the closure on his Facebook page today. The announcement {which you can read in full here}, was accompanied by a promise of reopening before the end of the year at a new location.

03012017_ibar01IBar has garnered a lot of popular support over the six years that it was open. We personally loved it for its generous drinks, the well-arranged seating area {both indoor and outdoor}, and the amazing musical performances which would happen here.

So, We’re Saying…

We will keep our ears open to what is opening in this spot next, so keep a lookout here. In the meantime, make sure you head to IBar once again before it shuts shop, and bid farewell to one of the neighbourhood’s cosiest bars.
