Veranda is a place which has a bit of a unique ambience. They have recreated the ambience of an outdoor cafe on the inside by keeping the place well lit along with the clean setting and they've done a great job. The bar menu is extensive with a wide variety of wines and whiskies. The food menu has some healthy options along with a plethora of delicious desi style as well as continental and asian preparations. Drinks: 1. Chocolate & Basil Lemonade:A fizzy but unusual combination of chocolate and club soda with a minty and tangy zing due to the addition of fresh lime and basil which is served with a huge piece of watermelon on the glass. The chocolate blends well with lime and basil. The club soda gives it a fizzy effect that enhances the taste. Worth giving a try after a tiring day. 2. Snow White Chocotini: A thick, white chocolate based mocktail that has tastes amazing, thanks to the coconut, lychee puree and lime. The flavour combo of litchi and coconut just blasts into your mouth when you have a sip followed by a soothing taste of white chocolate and lime. Food: 1. The Essential Tikkis: Garlic and cheese aloo tikkis fried and served hot with green chutney. The aloo tikkis are covered with grated cheese and are decent enough in the size. When dipped in the green chutney, they taste just lovely. The fresh and soft potatoes with the garlic have a lovely flavour and the quantity is enough for two people. 2. Dhaba Chicken Platter: A well plated appetizer with tricoloured chicken kebabs. It is a combination of pudina, zafrani tikkas and kashmiri red chillies served with ranch dressing and onion and capsicum salad at the side. The chicken is well cooked and has the right colour. The portion size is large and enough for two people. The way it's plated is just mesmerizing. 3. The Shenzou: A medium spicy thai curry served with some delish veggies on the side and some steamed rice. The yellow tha curry tastes really great especially when paired with both the veggies and the rice. The rice helps to reduce the spiciness of the curry and brings out the coconutty flavour. The curry has a good quantity and the portion size is enough for one person and is worth the price. 4. Gosht of Rogan's Past: A classic mughlai mutton gravy with kashmiri chillies, served with steamed rice and two kulchas. The succulent mutton pieces with the lipsmacking gravy, make a perfect combination to have with the rice and kulchas. The quantity is huge so one person can be full in this dish. 5. Good Car-ama: A slice of delicious salted caramel chocolate pie of which if you take one bite, you'll definitely crave for more of it. It is served with vanilla ice cream on the side and bits of caramel along with it. The chocolate and the salted caramel make a great combination and I just loved the taste. So this one is worth a try if you're at Veranda and wish to have a dessert. 6. Sin-derella: A classic pudding of biscotti with loads of chocolate, topped with cashew nuts and almonds. The nutty biscotti with chocolate and dry fruits taste absolutely delicious. It's a symphony of flavours which is hard to match. Another try worthy dessert at Veranda.
